Producing movies is a lot about contacts and relationships; creating, building, nurturing them. My limitations mean doing much of this via phone and email. If people feel engaged by you as a person and your passion for your project, they will often, 'introduce' you to someone who can help you along your way.
How do you develop those first contacts though? What is the best way to reach out to the talent or production company you need?
One of the first things I came to know...well, is that a little shamelessness goes a looong way.
